Genetics:

HLA genes (Human Leukocyte Antigen)-the primary biological role of HLA molecules is in the regulation of immune response.

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which insulin is functionally absent because of the destruction of the β cells in the pancreas by the immune system. The triggers for the autoimmune attack are not fully understood, Due to any Mutations in HLA.
